Action plan
Overview: The action plan to stop Human Rights Violations in North Korea is a multi-step process involving an alliance with China. First, the United States will form an alliance with the Chinese government in order to evaluate the leadership of Kim Jong-Un. If the Chinese government is unwilling to form an alliance, the United States will seek support from the United Nations. With the help of the Chinese government and the United Nations, the United States will raise awareness about the Human Rights Violations occurring in North Korea. A major component of this phase will be to wipe out North Korean propaganda and provide accurate news to the citizens, as well as give the a way to communicate with the outside world. Without China's support, it will be harder for Kim Jong-Un to maintain a leadership position in North Korea.
Cost: Economically, this action plan will primarily affect North Korea by removing China's support. North Korea will be forced to be a self-dependent country, which will be difficult considering they do not have enough resources to support their population. The United States will provide foreign aid to the citizens of North Korea, which will be a cost burden for us.
Timeline: This action plan is designed to bring independence to the people of North Korea within 5 years of its initiation. Negotiations with China will most likely take one to two years. Within six months after an alliance has been formed, China's border with North Korea will be closed down and all trading between the two countries will be eliminated. In order to feed his soldiers, Kim Jong-Un will have to allow foreign aid or surrender to the United Nations within two years. Economically, North Korea will not be able to support its people without outside assistance. Once Kim Jong-Un steps out of power, the United States, China and the UN will initiate a democracy so the people will be able to take control of their own rights and security.
Justice: After crashing North Korea's economy, their people will begin to rebuild and begin a revolution with the assistance of the UN, China and the United States. Kim Jong-Un and other perpetrators of human rights violations will be arrested and held in United States' prison camps under high security. Once North Korea is able to establish a justice system "for the people, by the people", all perpetrators will receive a fair trial followed by their sentencing.
Education: Around the world, we will educate people about what is happening in North Korea, such as: prison camps, forced abortions, torture, the uses of propaganda, etc. As much as possible, we will utilize first hand accounts of victims that suffered or witnessed suffering in North Korea. The more people around the world know about the Human Rights Violations in North Korea, the better off the country will grow in years to come. Education of the North Koreans will chance completely as they will no longer be subjected to propaganda and will be able to learn about the outside world.
Philosophies: The core philosophies of this action plan include maintaining non-violence; implementing a fair justice system; creating a democracy; restoring freedom; providing liberty to participate in the world economy; returning the ability to travel both in and out of the country; and eliminating all human rights violations according to the United Nations, for the people of North Korea.
